Rev. Gwendolyn Penn began her Christian journey at a young age as her mother and grandmother would often take her to church. She later accepted Christ as her personal Savior at the age of eight years old. Rev. Penn served on various choirs, has been a Sunday school teacher, a Sunday school superintendent, and an usher.

Rev. Penn acknowledged her call into ministry and was licensed at the Bethany Baptist church in 1999. While there, she served as leader of the Women's ministry and also led the prison ministry as she served at the Baltimore city detention center, Patuxent, and Baltimore city correction centers.

Rev. Penn attended Baltimore County Community College (BCCC) and Coppin State University. She graduated with a degree in criminal justice and was on the Dean's list.  She was a correctional officer for seven years and then went on to work for the Office of the Maryland Public Defender as an investigator.  She now works as the supervisor for intake.

Rev. Penn is a graduate of the Remarkable Women’s Ministry Class of 2010 and now serves on the Board of Directors as Program Director. Rev. Penn thanks God for her life's journey and has learned to trust Him in every area of her life. She loves God's people and knows that no matter what happens in life, God cares. He continues to give her the wisdom and courage to continue the journey He has prepared for her.

Rev. Penn was ordained on May 24, 2013. She has been with Unlimited Faith Ministries since January 19, 2014. She is married to Donald Penn and is the mother of three children.  Her favorite scripture is Psalms 23.
